Yes, it was a bummer that I somehow corrupted my previous website files, making it impossible to publish them. But...it was just the kick in the bum I needed (pardon the puns) to finally create a new and improved website. This is something that has been brewing in my mind for a while, but after building my previous website for two years, I was reluctant to let it go. Now I’m glad it happened because as you can see, the new Mama of Letters is more streamlined, including only the creative work that I am currently working on. This is my photography and my writing....writing that is more akin to what I write about in my columns than anything else. I will not publish my columns here because I don’t want to infringe on anybody’s copyright, but you will see similar themes...motherhood, homeschooling, and stories of my Southern Heritage. As an added bonus, my blog readers will also see my photography and other pieces of writing that won’t go into my columns.
I will be bringing some of my previous blog posts into this blog, especially my homeschooling posts because I want to keep all the information that I had already collected there. So if you have already read those old posts, I hope you’ll bear with me as I begin to build this site.
I have a future goal of creating a separate site for my photography business with its own domain name. However, that’s not in my budget right now, so you’ll find S P Photography here along with a page of Portfolios. I hope you’ll visit there occasionally as I build the portfolios.
And yes, the photo above is the little bum of my new little boy. So far he’s been the perfect baby, and you’ll be sure to hear more about him in upcoming posts. Meanwhile, tell me what’s new with you because I haven’t had much time for blog reading lately, and I miss every single one of my online friends.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Bummer
