I know I showed you the other end, but I thought it was time to show you the beautiful face of my newest addition, Benjamin Stefan. Have I already told you how perfect he is? And he’s a Mr. Smiley too. How lucky I am!
I also have some new additions to my blog, and I want to share those items with you today.
First of all, I’ve added another sidebar on my main blog page with photography resources for those who are interested. It’s located just under my homeschooling resources. These are sites that should help photographers gain more skills and/or build their business. I’ve included mostly resources in the state of Georgia for local photographers, but there are some listed for photographers anywhere too. Of course, I’ll add more whenever I find something valuable. (I’d like to thank my friend over at Gabrielle Kai Photography for tipping me off to the ACP Now! blog.)
Another new addition is my use of a watermark on my photos. I’ve been meaning to do this for some time, and I finally got around to figuring out how I could add a watermark to my photos using Aperture, which is the program I use to do post-processing. I added a plug-in that enabled me to create one, and there you have it! What do you think? I cropped my signature photo of the pink columbines to use as a backdrop. I am also beginning to add my photos to the web at a very low resolution. Though I’ve never used the highest resolution for photos on the web, I’m taking an extra step toward protecting my photos, especially since I want to share this beautiful face with you from time to time. (As well as another.) This shouldn’t change the quality of what you see, and though it doesn’t secure my photos 100%, it does give me some peace of mind.
Last but not least, I’m excited to offer a behind-the-scenes sneak peek into my photographs on occasion. There are certainly other photographers online who are more proficient at the technical side of photography and who share their expertise. However, I am always striving to learn more, and if my knowledge can help some, I’m happy to share. Therefore, whenever you see the following sneak peek box on my blog post, all you need to do is click on it to get a behind-the-scenes sneak peek on how I took the photo. This might include other photos to show you the set-up or just a few words on how I set up the camera and scene. Of course, if you have any tips that you could give me to make my photography better, please leave them in the comments section!
Go ahead! You can try it now to find out how I took this portrait of Benjamin.
